FAQ

About the Viewer

01

Which container type should I choose?

20'/40' Dry for general cargo; 40' HC for bulky, light cargo; Open Top for cargo loaded from above; Flat Rack for out-of-gauge/heavy project cargo; Reefer for temperature-controlled goods. If you are not sure, describe your cargo to our assistant.

02

Are the dimensions exact?

The values shown are typical ISO figures; there may be millimetre differences depending on manufacturer and series. For a critical fit/stacking decision, we recommend verifying your own container’s dimensions.

03

Is my data being recorded?

No — the viewer runs entirely in your browser; no interaction is sent to a server or stored.

04

How long is a 20-foot container, and what is its volume?

A standard 20-foot container is 6.058 m long, 2.438 m wide and 2.591 m high externally. Its typical internal dimensions are 5.898 × 2.352 × 2.393 m and its volume is 33.2 m³.

05

What are the dimensions of a 40-foot container?

A standard 40-foot container measures 12.192 × 2.438 × 2.591 m externally, with typical internal dimensions of 12.032 × 2.352 × 2.393 m and a volume of 67.7 m³. In a 40-foot High Cube the height rises to 2.896 m and the volume to 76.4 m³.

06

What is the difference between a standard (DC) and a High Cube (HC) container?

A High Cube container is 30.5 cm taller than a standard one: 2.896 m instead of 2.591 m. The footprint is the same; on a 40-footer the internal height rises from 2.393 m to 2.698 m and the volume from 67.7 m³ to 76.4 m³.
